Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Living Space & Window Surveyor to join our team. This role involves conducting comprehensive assessments of residential living spaces and window installations, ensuring quality standards are met and client specifications are fulfilled. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction-related disciplines, with the ability to interpret schematics and work with various tools and materials. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with experience in roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, carpentry, masonry, and related trades to utilise their expertise in a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Conduct detailed surveys of living spaces and window installations within residential properties
- Assess structural components including roofing, masonry, and plastering to identify potential issues or areas for improvement
- Measure and document dimensions accurately using hand tools, power tools, and schematics
- Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and provide expert advice on suitable solutions
- Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, recommendations, and necessary remedial actions
- Assist with the installation or repair of windows, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes
- Coordinate with construction teams to facilitate seamless project execution
- Ensure all work adheres to health and safety regulations at all times
Qualifications
- Knowledge of fabrication processes and construction painting techniques is preferred
- Strong understanding of building materials and structural principles
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail when documenting survey findings
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction or related trades are desirable but not essential
- Candidates with order processing CAD experience would be preferred.
