Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Breakfast Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of breakfast dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a diverse range of breakfast dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
- Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely service during busy morning periods
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in the kitchen at all times
- Organise ingredients and kitchen equipment to optimise workflow and minimise waste
- Monitor stock levels and communicate needs for replenishment to management
- Ensure all food is stored correctly following health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
- Keep the kitchen environment organised, clean, and safe throughout shifts
- Assist with other kitchen duties as required, including serving or setting up breakfast areas when necessary
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is desirable
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
- Passion for culinary arts with a keen eye for detail in meal presentation and quality assurance
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, or holidays as required by operational demands
