We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic early years professional to join our 2–3 year old room as Deputy Room Leader.
This is an ideal opportunity for a strong practitioner who is ready to take the next step into leadership, or an existing Deputy Room Leader looking for a supportive setting where quality comes first.
At Pine Rivers Kindergarten, we've been caring for local children for over 55 years. As an independent, family-run nursery, we're proud of our reputation for nurturing children, supporting families and investing in our team.
Working alongside the Room Leader, you'll help lead a team caring for 10 children aged 2–3 years, supporting high-quality practice and ensuring every child receives the very best start.

The Role
As Deputy Room Leader, you will:
- Support the Room Leader in the day-to-day running of the room
- Act as Room Leader when they are absent
- Help create a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where children can thrive
- Support planning and delivery of exciting learning experiences in line with the EYFS
- Build positive relationships with children and families
- Mentor and support other team members
- Help maintain outstanding standards of safeguarding, health and safety and compliance
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Level 3 childcare qualification (or recognised equivalent)
- Experience working in an early years setting
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS and child development
- A positive, proactive approach and willingness to support others
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
We'd Love It If You Also Have
- Previous experience supporting or mentoring colleagues
- Paediatric First Aid qualification
- Experience using Famly or a similar learning journal
