Wash Operative / Trainee Driver (Progression to LGV Class 1 Tramper, 4-5 Nights out per week)
The Role
We are recruiting a Wash Operative to join our team, working initially on our truck wash and to help with an yard duties. This is a hands-on, physical role, ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in haulage.
For the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment, there will be the opportunity to progress into LGV Class 1 (C+E) driver training, fully funded by RT Keedwell Group, leading to a qualified Tramper Driver position.
Key Responsibilities (Truck / Trailer Wash)
Whilst in the trainee role, duties will include:
- Working on the truck wash, cleaning HGVs and trailers (physical and demanding work)
- Jet washing and pressure washing vehicles in preparation for MOTs
- Valeting lorry cabs when required
- Keeping the yard clean, tidy, and well organised
- Shunting vehicles (full training and shunting licence provided)
- Supporting general yard operations as required

Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence with less than 6 points
- Minimum 1 year of car driving experience
- Aged 18 or over
- Fit and healthy
- Able to pass a medical assessment prior to appointment
