Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of our retail establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage teams effectively and ensure excellent customer service. Duties
- Support the Store Manager in daily operational activities, including staff scheduling and resource allocation
- Supervise and motivate team members to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service
- Assist with managing sales strategies, analysing performance data, and implementing promotional initiatives
- Oversee merchandising standards, ensuring displays are attractive, well-stocked, and aligned with brand guidelines
- Handle customer enquiries professionally via phone or in person, maintaining excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Organise training sessions for staff development and ensure adherence to company policies
- Manage administrative responsibilities such as stock control, reporting, and maintaining accurate records
- Contribute to creating a welcoming environment that promotes teamwork, organisation, and efficiency
- Support the recruitment process by participating in interviews and onboarding new employees
Experience
- Proven management experience within retail or sales environments, preferably with supervising teams or staff management roles
- Strong leadership qualities with demonstrated ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment
- Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure
- Experience in merchandising, sales management, and administrative functions is highly advantageous
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are desirable to enhance communication across diverse customer bases and staff members
- Effective time management skills coupled with professional communication abilities are essential for success in this role
