Skybound Therapies is expanding, and we are incredibly excited to be opening a brand-new children’s residential home right here in Haverfordwest.
We are looking for passionate, resilient, and nurturing individuals to form the founding team of this home. This is a unique opportunity to shape a warm, positive environment from day one and create a safe haven where children and young people with complex needs and behaviours of concern can thrive.
About the Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, therapeutic care to children in their everyday home environment. Your focus will be on building trusting relationships, establishing positive routines, and helping young people thrive using Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) frameworks.
We are looking for team members who can work a flexible mix of shifts to ensure the children always have a consistent, supportive team around them.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating a Home: Help maintain a clean, warm, and fun home environment. This includes cooking meals, helping learn new skills and independance.
- Activities & Community: Support the children to engage in hobbies, sports, and trips out into the beautiful Pembrokeshire community.
- Implementing Care Plans: Work closely with our clinical team to follow bespoke care plans and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies.
- Accurate Record Keeping: Collecting data and any incident reports to ensure compliance and track progress.
Shift Patterns & Flexibility
- Hours: Up to 40 hours per week.
- Patterns: Shift work is required to cover the home's needs. You must be able to work a flexible mix of shifts, which will include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. Sleep-ins are paid at £80 per night.

- Qualifications: Willingness to work towards achieve Level 2 in Health and Social Care
- Resilience & Empathy: The ability to stay calm under pressure and look past challenging behaviours to understand a child's underlying needs
- Team Player: A reliable individual who communicates well and loves collaborating in a tight-knit team.
- Drivers Preferred: A full UK driving license is highly desirable
