Specialist Teaching Assistant – Wrexham
Excell Supply are recruiting dedicated and compassionate Specialist Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Wrexham.
This rewarding role involves supporting pupils who require additional support to access learning, helping them develop confidence, independence, and the skills they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.
The Role
As a Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
- Assist children and young people with a range of additional learning, communication, behavioural, and developmental needs.
- Work alongside teachers and support staff to deliver tailored learning activities.
- Encourage positive engagement, confidence, and independence.
- Support pupils' social, emotional, and educational development.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals is desirable.
- Previous experience in education, care, support work, youth work, coaching, or mentoring is advantageous.
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
