About the Role
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and creative Activities Coordinator to join our team. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of our residents by delivering meaningful and enjoyable experiences every day.
You will work alongside the care team to ensure residents enjoy a varied programme of activities that support their wellbeing, independence, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver group and one-to-one activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities
- Build strong relationships with residents to understand their hobbies, preferences, and life stories
- Create engaging, stimulating, and person-centred activity programmes
- Organise events, entertainment, and outings, including involvement from volunteers and the local community
- Support and coordinate home events, such as open days and special celebrations
- Maintain accurate activity records and monitor residents’ participation and engagement
- Work closely with the care team to ensure activities meet individual needs
- Attend mandatory and ongoing training as required
About You
- Highly motivated with a positive, caring attitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisation and planning abilities
- Creative and able to think outside the box when delivering activities
- Previous experience in a care environment is preferred
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is desirable but not essential
Additional Information
- Days and working times will be discussed at interview
- Alternate weekend working is required
- An active online DBS is desirable
- If a DBS is required, the initial cost will be met by the applicant and reimbursed after 6 months of employment
Pay: £13.15 per hour
Work Location: In person
