We are looking for passionate and dedicated Residential Support Workers to join our team at a children’s home in Corby supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
This role is ideal for individuals who genuinely want to make a difference in the lives of young people, helping them feel safe, supported and empowered to achieve positive outcomes.
The Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting children and young people in a safe, nurturing and structured home environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing day-to-day care, support and guidance to young people
- Building positive and trusting relationships
- Supporting young people with education, activities and daily routines
- Promoting independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing
- Managing challenging behaviours in a calm and therapeutic way
- Maintaining accurate records and reports
- Working closely with the wider team and external professionals
- Ensuring safeguarding and children’s home regulations are always followed
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people
- Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable individuals (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it)
