Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to support our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, ensuring that all areas are hygienic and well-stocked. Responsibilities
- Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and assembling ingredients.
- Supporting the kitchen team in organising storage areas and ensuring stock levels are maintained.
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures to ensure a clean working environment.
- Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and other kitchen areas throughout shifts.
- Supporting the delivery of excellent customer service by ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills are desirable.
- Familiarity with kitchen safety and hygiene standards is beneficial.
- Experience in serving or hospitality roles can be an asset but is not mandatory.
