Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to support our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and assembling ingredients.
- Supporting the kitchen team in organising storage areas and ensuring stock levels are maintained.
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures to ensure a clean working environment.
- Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and other kitchen areas throughout shifts.
- Supporting the delivery of excellent customer service by ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills are desirable.
- Familiarity with kitchen safety and hygiene standards is beneficial.
- Experience in serving or hospitality roles can be an asset but is not mandatory.
