Multi-Skilled Engineer
Salary: £42,500-£52,500 per annum, with the starting salary depending on experience.
Job Description:
ESG Drysdale is recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our existing factory team. This role is based at our Drysdale Quarry packing facility in Cockburnspath, Scottish Borders.
The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out both reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance on factory machinery as part of the existing engineering team.
You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, projects, and installation work across the site.
This is a multi-skilled position involving both mechanical and electrical fault-finding across a wide range of vegetable washing, grading, and packing equipment.
The Applicant
- Ideally fully qualified as a multi-skilled engineer, with a strong electrical background.
- Previous experience working within a food manufacturing environment.
- An electrical qualification or completion of the 18th Edition would be advantageous.
- A proactive and effective problem solver.
- A willingness to learn, with a positive and can-do attitude.
About the Job
- 4 on, 4 off working pattern.
- Shift pattern: 6:00am-6:00pm day shift. A back shift operates during autumn, winter, and spring (not summer), from 12:00 noon-12:00 midnight. For three weeks in December, the back shift changes to a night shift, meaning one shift period will be worked on nights in a year.
- Starting salary of £42,500 per annum, increasing up to £52,500 per annum upon completion of the in-house training and development programme.
- 21.5 days of annual leave per year (236.5 hours).
