- Salary: Up to £34,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)
- Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
- You will be expected to work Early and Late shifts across a 7 day week – 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Early Shift (7.00 AM – 16.00 PM) Late Shift (14.00 – 22.00 PM)

We’re looking for a Team Manager to guide our dedicated team of Autism Practitioners and ensure that best practices are followed, leading to the best possible outcomes for those we support.

As a Team Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the daily operations of our residential homes, prioritising the health and wellbeing of the young people in your care. You will model best practices and lead your team in delivering personalised support, ensuring each young person can thrive in a nurturing environment.
With a focus on ongoing training and professional development, you will empower your team to provide exceptional outcomes, helping our young people lead fulfilling and meaningful lives.
- Line manage, coach, and mentor a team of Autism Practitioners.
- Support the recruitment and induction of new staff.
- Manage staff attendance, including sickness and other absences.
- Oversee staff performance through monthly check-ins, conduct reviews, performance improvement plans, and risk assessments.
- Implement autism-friendly strategies to enhance learning and wellbeing for young people.
- Assist in understanding and applying young people's "This Is Me" plans.
- Provide personal care aligned with each individual’s "This Is Me" plan.
- Level 3 Health & Social Care or equivalent required.
- At least 2 years of experience as a support worker, specifically with autism and/or learning disabilities.
- Experience in line management, coaching, and mentoring small teams is desirable.

At our West Berkshire-based charity, we employ around 500 staff, working full-time, part-time or as flexible workers to provide 24-hour support, 52 weeks a year.
Most staff are based in our education and care teams, working directly with our young people to ensure they have the support to make progress in all areas of their lives. We also have dedicated staff working behind the scenes in a range of roles to ensure the smooth running of our services.

What pre-employment checks can I except?
All offers of employment are subject to the successful completion of pre-employment checks. These include references, a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, proof of right to work in the UK, and any other relevant clearances.
How soon are being offered the role can I start?
All new staff will join our induction programme when they start at Prior’s Court. You will be booked onto the induction once you have completed all pre-employment checks.

This interview allows us to ask some safeguarding questions, assess your understanding of the role, and ensure that we’re a good fit for each other. If you’re successful at this stage, you’ll then be invited to attend a face-to-face interview.
A one off welcome bonus is offered to candidates who are offered the Team Manager role at Priors Court. Should you leave the role within 1 year of service, you will be responsible for reimbursing all of your bonus.
