We are looking to recruit a Records Manager who will assume responsibility for ensuring the complete accuracy and integrity of the patent and trade mark records and for managing the records team.
The Records Manager is responsible for ensuring that the Records data is complete and accurate, and that the criteria and workflows in Inprotech are compatible with agreed workflows used by the Records team and will routinely monitor work output and practices. They will work directly with the firms Inprotech build team to implement any changes or fixes that are required. The role also encompasses day to day management of the work being done by the team in line with our agreed KPIs.
We would ideally ask that the successful candidate will hold or be studying for both the CIPA Pat Ad and CITMA Trade Mark Admin qualifications and will have a detailed understanding of Inprotech (or an equivalent records database) and applicable laws. Consideration will be given to anyone with equivalent knowledge but they would be expected to sit and pass those examinations at the earliest opportunity. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to easily spot issues and a determination for accuracy is critical as are well developed analytical skills and a keen interest in systems and associated processes.
Previous supervisory or management experience is preferred but not essential and support will be given in that area as required. The right candidate will have the confidence and competence to actively support, train and direct a sizeable and busy team with a mix of experience.
Candidates will be able to demonstrate proven competence in implementing work practices and standard operating procedures and be a strong and clear communicator.
