Lead Our Kitchen at Towy Castle Care Home

We're looking for a passionate and organised Head Chef to lead our kitchen and provide nutritious, home-cooked meals that our residents look forward to every day.

About the Role
As Head Chef, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring residents receive nutritious, well-balanced meals whilst maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and preparing nutritious, home-cooked meals
- Leading the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Managing food ordering, stock control and budgets
- Ensuring dietary requirements and preferences are met
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and Health & Safety standards
- Supervising and supporting kitchen staff
- Creating seasonal menus with residents' needs in mind
- Maintaining accurate kitchen records and documentation
We're Looking For Someone Who:
✔ Has previous experience as a Chef or Head Chef
✔ Enjoys leading and motivating a team
✔ Is organised, reliable and takes pride in their work
✔ Has a good understanding of food hygiene and nutrition
✔ Can manage a busy kitchen while maintaining high standards
✔ Can commit to the advertised shift pattern
Experience within a care home or healthcare setting would be an advantage but is not essential.

Location & Travel
Towy Castle Care Home is located near Carmarthen and is commutable from Llanelli, Ammanford, Llandeilo, Cross Hands, Kidwelly, St Clears, Whitland and surrounding areas.
Applicants should be able to travel reliably to and from the home for all scheduled shifts.
