This Aspiring MFL Teacher Program (Unsalaried PGCE) offers a structured and supportive pathway into teaching, particularly suited to individuals who are new to the classroom or prefer a gradual transition into the profession.
Key points about the scheme:

Gradual transition into teaching responsibilities

Consistent support from a qualified teacher within lessons

Lower initial teaching load, typically around 8 periods per week

One dedicated training day per week

Teaching load increases progressively based on individual readiness

Opportunity to gain QTS with PGCE (optional opt-out available if required)

Working at one School throughout - avoiding any conflict in different teaching styles (in turn reducing stress on teacher)
Fees & Bursaries

Trainees are required to pay a course fee of £9,535 however as a trainee you are also eligible for tax-free government bursaries depending on the subject you are training in.

Bursary amount for Languages is £20,000.

Bursaries are typically paid monthly.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Must have a languages related degree from a reputable University (minimum 2:2)

Good A Levels & GCSEs across the board

Some previous experience supporting students, (e.g. Tutoring, Teaching Assistant)

You must be able to engage and motivate the students
