A number of SEN specialist schools in Slough are looking for Teaching Assistants to work specifically with children who have ASD and ADHD. Schools would ideally prefer TA’s who have experience with ASD/ADHD, however candidates who are eager and willing to learn on the job are a big plus!
What you will need to succeed: School leaders are searching for confident, adaptable and enthusiastic individuals with an interest in the education sector. Perhaps you’re an aspiring teacher, a recent graduate or an experienced ASD/ADHD SEN Teaching Assistant looking for the perfect role to immerse yourself in: the successful candidate will have opportunities and challenges to develop their practice.
The ideal Teaching Assistant should: Have experience working as an Early Years, Key Stage 1 or 2 Class Teaching Assistant or ASD/ADHD SEN TA Have experience supporting pupils with high needs ASD/ADHD, including being open to providing personal care and supporting challenging behaviour
Any other relevant experience Be flexible and patient Be able to communicate effectively within a team Be able to work 8.30–4pm
