Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of landscape and grounds maintenance, including grass cutting, strimming, edging, hedge cutting, pruning, weeding, planting, mulching, and litter picking.
- Maintain landscaped areas to a consistently high standard across schools, showhome developments, building sites, and public open spaces.
- Identify plant species and carry out the correct maintenance techniques to promote healthy growth and attractive presentation.
- Operate a range of landscaping machinery, power tools, and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Conduct daily checks and basic maintenance of vehicles, machinery, and equipment.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety procedures and company standards.
- Report any site issues, hazards, plant health concerns, or maintenance requirements to management.
- Take pride in maintaining clean, tidy, and well-presented sites at all times.
- Work effectively as part of a team while also being capable of working independently when required.
- Ensure all tasks are completed within allocated timescales while maintaining quality workmanship.
Requirements
- Previous experience in landscape or grounds maintenance is preferred.
- Good working knowledge of landscaping and grounds maintenance equipment and their safe operation.
- Moderate understanding of plant types, seasonal maintenance requirements, and horticultural best practices.
- Ability to identify and maintain a wide variety of shrubs, plants, trees, and grassed areas.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- The ability to work efficiently without compromising standards.
- Understanding of health and safety requirements within the landscaping industry.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated with a positive attitude.
Pay: £32,500.00-£36,400.00 per year
