Trainee Children's Home Manager

About the Role
We are looking for a passionate, motivated, and ambitious individual to join our team as a Trainee Children's Home Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in residential childcare who is ready to take the next step into management.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering outstanding care, supporting staff, and ensuring the home provides a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where children and young people can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Play a key role in the day-to-day running of the home.
- Lead and motivate staff to provide high-quality, child-centred care.
- Promote positive outcomes for children and young people.
- Assist with staff supervision, development, and performance management.
- Ensure safeguarding practices are embedded throughout the service.
- Support compliance with regulatory requirements, including Ofsted standards.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, social workers, and other professionals.
- Assist with rota planning, audits, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
- Act as a positive role model and provide leadership during shifts.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working in a children's residential home.
- Is passionate about improving the lives of children and young people.
- Has excellent communication and leadership potential.
- Demonstrates resilience, empathy, and professionalism.
- Has a good understanding of safeguarding and child-centred practice.
- Is organised and able to work under pressure.
Essential Requirements:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Experience supporting children and young people within a residential setting.
- A genuine desire to progress into a management role.
- Full UK Driving Licence

Pay: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
