Part-Time Chef – Charlie Brown’s Gastropub, Hale

Pay: £12.71 – £13.50 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: Part-time, weekends required
Charlie Brown’s is a modern gastro bar and restaurant in the heart of Hale, bringing together great food, fine drinks, and warm hospitality in a stylish, welcoming setting.
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Part-Time Chef to join our kitchen team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy gastropub environment and takes pride in producing consistently high-quality food.
Responsibilities
- Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to a high standard
- Supporting the kitchen team during busy services
- Ensuring food is prepared safely, efficiently, and consistently
- Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and food hygiene
- Assisting with prep, stock rotation, and kitchen organisation
- Following recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards
- Working well under pressure, especially during weekend service
What we’re looking for
- Previous kitchen or chef experience essential
- Confidence working in a fresh food environment
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Reliable, punctual, and well-organised
- A positive attitude and strong team ethic
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently during busy periods
