SEND Outreach Tutor - Autism/ASC, ADHD, and SEMH
Full-time, term time only, 8:30am - 4:30pm, Kingston & Richmond
£130 PAYE per day, weekly payment
Do you already know why a child is struggling before anyone else in the room has noticed? And are you working somewhere right now that does not give you the space or the trust to act on what you know?
This is a SEND outreach role covering Kingston and Richmond, working with children and young people with Autism, ADHD, and SEMH needs who are at risk of exclusion or not getting what they need in their current mainstream setting.
You will move between schools across both boroughs. You will assess referred pupils, plan targeted interventions, and deliver them independently. There is no class Teacher alongside you. The team trusts you to know what you are doing and to get on with it. You will also work with school staff to help them understand their pupils better and include them more effectively.
This is not a role for someone at the beginning of their SEND experience. You need at least a year of direct classroom or SEND experience, and you need to have worked with Autism, ADHD, and SEMH across all three, not just one or two. A solid knowledge of the National Curriculum is essential because you will be planning and delivering sessions without support.
If you are an experienced HLTA, specialist Teaching Assistant, or unqualified Teacher who has outgrown working within a single school and wants more reach, this is worth a conversation.
Pay is £130 per day, PAYE. Full-time, term-time only, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm. September start.
