We are currently working with a children’s residential care provider who are looking to recruit a Residential Children’s Support Worker in Sunderland to join their team.
The role involves supporting children and young people living within a residential home environment presenting with EBD and challenging behaviours.
This is a permanent, full time role.
Salary: £15.00 per hour + £18.80 over time rate
Sleep-in payments: £80 per sleep in.
Contracted Hours: 37 hours per week
ESSENTIAL: Level 3 Residential Childcare and driving license.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting young people with their daily routines and activities
- Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting emotional wellbeing
- Helping young people access education, hobbies and community activities
- Building positive and trusting relationships with the children in the home
- Maintaining accurate records and contributing to care planning
- Supporting young people with independent living skills
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to provide consistent support
- Following safeguarding procedures and reporting any concerns
