Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic core subject teacher to work 1:1 with students who are not able to access education elsewhere.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that cater to diverse student needs, including those requiring special education support. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on students' personal and academic development and confidence.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver effective lessons in English and Mathematics tailored to students' individual learning needs (can be up to GCSE Level).
- Completing sessional feedback reports on behaviour and progress.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with special educational needs, ensuring an inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain clear communication with parents, guardians, and colleagues regarding student progress and behavioural concerns.
- Working across community centres, libraries and potentially school settings to provide education on a 1:1 basis for at risk students.
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status.
- Proven experience in teaching or tutoring in English and Mathematics at various levels.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to develop creative lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.

- Confidence in responding to challenging behaviour, including anxieties and Oppositional Defiant Disorder.
