Job Overview
We are seeking two dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe/kitchen Assistants to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidates will play a crucial role in supporting our culinary operations, ensuring that our café runs smoothly and efficiently. This position involves assisting with food preparation, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and providing excellent customer service to our patrons. Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of meals and snacks in accordance with established recipes and food safety standards.
- Learn to be a Barista! Prepare coffee drinks, takeaway or drink in.
- Support the kitchen team with food preparation tasks, including chopping, mixing, and cooking as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored away.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their orders and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during busy periods.
- work 5 days out of 7 on a weekly rota basis.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a culinary or catering environment is preferred. willingness to learn is key.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper kitchen hygiene is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly disposition towards customers and colleagues alike.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required.
- A passion for food preparation and an eagerness to contribute positively to the café atmosphere.
