Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Henry Nihill House in Edgware. In this rewarding role, you will provide high-quality nursing care, support residents with diverse healthcare needs, and play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence.
You will work closely with residents, families, colleagues, and healthcare professionals to deliver safe, effective, and person-centred care that enhances the lives of those we support.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care tailored to individual resident needs.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate personalised care plans.
- Administer medications safely and monitor residents' responses to treatment.
- Monitor residents' physical, emotional, and psychological wellbeing, responding appropriately to changes in condition.
- Collaborate with GPs, hospitals, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Educate residents and families on health management and care needs where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential clinical records.
- Ensure compliance with NMC standards, safeguarding requirements, infection prevention and control procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- Support and supervise care staff, promoting best practice and high standards of care.
- Encourage residents' independence, dignity, choice, and quality of life.
- Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and professional development activities.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a valid NMC registration.
- Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of person-centred nursing care.
- Competent in medication administration and clinical assessment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, professional, and adaptable approach to care.
- Good organisational and record-keeping skills.
- Previous experience in a nursing home, care home, hospital, or community healthcare setting is desirable but not essential.
