HR Compensation Consultant - Investment Banking
Location: Bank Street, London
Role Type: Contract - 6 months initially
Work Setup: Onsite - 5 days in the office

What you'll do

Lead annual compensation planning activities, including funding analysis, allocation modelling, budgeting and reporting across mid-year and year-end review cycles.

Provide expert compensation advice to business leaders and HR partners on offers, promotions, transfers, retention initiatives and reward-related decisions.

Partner with Recruitment, HR and senior stakeholders to develop, review and approve competitive compensation packages in line with governance requirements.

Conduct market benchmarking and compensation analysis, translating data into insights and recommendations that support business strategy.

Drive enhancements to compensation programmes, policies and processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements and best practice.

Contribute to global compensation projects and continuous improvement initiatives, strengthening controls, operational effectiveness and stakeholder engagement.
What you bring

Minimum 6 years' HR Compensation or Reward experience within a global Investment Banking or Financial Services environment.

Strong experience analysing compensation data and presenting insights to influence business decisions using Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications.

Sound understanding of compensation principles, benchmarking, reward frameworks and compensation planning processes.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations.

Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong partnerships across HR, Finance, Recruitment and senior business leaders.

Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed organisation while maintaining strong controls and governance standards.
