SEN Teaching Assistant – Resource Base (Mainstream School)

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming resource base within a mainstream school in Wednesfield. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs in an inclusive and supportive environment.
The Role
Working within a specialist resource base embedded in a mainstream school, you will provide high-quality support to pupils with a range of special educational needs. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support, helping pupils to reach their full potential both academically and socially.
Hours & Contract
- Full time: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 15:30
- Term time only
- Start date: September 2025
What We're Looking For
We are looking for caring, patient, and motivated individuals who are passionate about supporting children with SEN. You will need to demonstrate a genuine commitment to inclusion and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
Requirements
- Minimum Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or Childcare
- Hold a valid DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one upon registration
- Previous experience working with children with SEN is desirable but not essential
- A calm, nurturing manner and the ability to adapt to the needs of individual pupils
