Role overview.
We are a brand new nursery opening in September (Ofsted pending).
We are seeking qualified and experienced staff to join us as we embark on the new journey with us. The successful candidates will be part of something new and exciting happening.
As an educator, you are an important part of an child's journey, guiding them and supporting their development through play, discovery, exploration, allowing them to thrive. You will be a key person for a group of children, building a trusting relationship and consistent care to the children and their families.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver activities that meet children’s developmental needs across all EYFS areas.
- Support children's emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development through nurturing interactions.
- Support children's communication and language development through meaningful and purposeful conversations.
- Observe, assess and record progress using accurate, meaningful notes and learning journeys and parent app and Support children’s next steps through targeted planning and responsive interactions.
- Safeguard children by following all policies, reporting concerns, and maintaining vigilance.
- Promote positive behaviour using consistent routines, modelling, and supportive language and foster positive relationships with children to encourage confidence and independence
- Build strong relationships with families through daily communication, updates, and professional partnership.
- Maintain a safe environment including risk assessments, hygiene routines, and equipment checks.
- Support SEND inclusion through adaptations, targeted strategies, and working with external professionals.
- Contribute to team practice by attending meetings, sharing ideas, and supporting colleagues.
- Model professionalism in communication, confidentiality, and conduct.
Requirements
- Hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare.
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early years setting..
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth and learning.
- Commitment to safeguarding policies and maintaining professional standards.
- Pass a DBS check and provide 2 references.
- Right to work check if required.
- Paediatric first aid (can provide this)

Pay: £14.00 per hour
