Novalis Trust is a charity that supports children and adults with neurodevelopmental difficulties, who may also have associated learning, attachment, and other additional needs. The Admissions & Family Support Coordinator is part of the Novalis Trust team, supporting both Cotswold Chine and William Morris Schools with admissions and family support. The role recognises the importance of trauma-informed practice and supports families to access appropriate guidance and care.
Responsibilities for this role:
- This unique role is based across both Cotswold Chine and William Morris School, and the aim of this role is to provide integrated support across both the Admissions and Family Support Teams.
- The ability to respond to general admission enquiries via telephone, or email offering clear timely supportive communication.
- Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and a family-centred approach to build positive trusting relationships with children and families.

Requirements for this role are:
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to assist in administrative tasks related to admissions to include completing one-page profiles, key assessment information for new admissions.
- Conduct home visits during school holiday periods to offer relational and practical support, helping families implement strategies that are effective both at home and in school.
- Be confident working with multiple teams, including families and external professionals
- Support the development of family genograms, ACEs, chronologies and other systemic tools to enhance understanding of family dynamics
- Have experience in a similar role within education, care, or support services (desirable)
- Ability to prioritise work and have experience in dealing with confidential information.
- Be committed to supporting the wellbeing and development of children and young people
