Key Responsibilities:
As a General Operative you will be responsible for supporting assembly for electrical switchgear products. Also involved in inventory management ahead of build. Occasional delivery duties to site.
Main duties
o Support Electrical Wiring and Panel Building
o Laid out Electrical components according to diagrams
o Layout panels following Electrical schematics.
o Inspect and document work activities for quality assurance
o Collaboration with team members to meet project deadlines
o Support picking inventory ahead of production.
o Occasionally delivery finished orders to customers site.

Quality Assurance:
o Following processes assist in ensuring jobs are Clean to Build ahead of production.
o Following drawings specs for accurate panel building.
o Assist the team on resolving concerns found either before despatch or feedback to production.
Reporting & Documentation:
o Maintain accurate records of stock allocation.
o Maintain any amendments to drawings in build.
o Maintain accurate job completion documentation as required.
Performance Management
o Work within a performance management culture.
o Work in line with individual and department KPIs in commitment to overall improvement of self and the business.
Collaboration
o Follow the Health & Safety policy and procedures inclusive of adherence to risk assessments and method statements and safe systems of work within the company.

Personnel Specification
· Educational Requirements:
o BTEC Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in general Operative role, preferably within the electrical or switchgear industry.
- Experience in inventory management advantageous.
- Hands-on experience with electrical switchgear systems advantageous.
- Technical Knowledge:o An understanding of electrical switchgear components, systems, and operations.o Familiarity with modular steel work systems, including Elsteel and Cubic.· Communication Skills:
o A strong Team player, willing to share knowledge and learn from team members
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Strong focus on building relationships and providing solutions.
o Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage various tasks and prioritize effectively.
o Able to work with little direction, and able to travel with deliveries as required
o Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting.
