Personal assistant required 34hrs per week. £13.50 per hour
We are looking to recruit a reliable, outgoing person to support a young man in accessing the community and adult day services. He lives with his parents, siblings, and dog in his family home. He requires 2:1 support. He is nonverbal and a wheelchair user.
Duties include
- Support to get ready for the day and then be transported to day services
- To be collected from day services later in the afternoon and returned home
- To be supported with meals, activities, and outings.
- Supported to attend weekly hydrotherapy sessions (applicants must be comfortable around water)
- Personal care is required.
- Administration of medication
- Some light tasks at home and in the community
- Driver essential client has access to adapted transport
- Reliable and outgoing, caring and kind.
- Enhanced DBS ( cost will be covered by the employer)
Desirable
- Knowledge of epilepsy and experience with a hoist is desirable; however, full training will be given.
Hours
Monday 7:30-9:30 and 2:30-5:50
Tuesday 7:30-5:30
Wednesday 7:30-9:30 and 2:30-5:30
Thursday 7:30-9:30 and 2:30-5:30
Friday 7:30-9:30 and 2:30-5:30
There will be a further 4 hours per week to be flexible for outings or family activities.
Occasionally weekend hours may be required
