Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Scaffolder Labourer or Part One to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with the assembly, dismantling, and maintenance of scaffolding structures on various sites. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, safety-conscious, and eager to develop their skills within the construction industry. All positions are paid, including internship opportunities, and offer valuable experience in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the safe erection and dismantling of scaffolding structures in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Carry and position scaffolding materials and components on-site
- Support skilled scaffolders with tasks such as securing platforms and stabilisers
- Ensure work areas are kept tidy and free from hazards
- Follow instructions from supervisors to complete assigned tasks efficiently
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to aid in scaffold assembly and disassembly
- Assist with site preparation, including moving materials and equipment as required
Skills
- Basic knowledge of construction practices, including carpentry, roofing, or masonry is advantageous
- Experience with hand tools and power tools used in construction work
- Familiarity with fabrication processes is a plus
- Ability to work at heights safely and comfortably
- Good physical fitness to carry materials and perform manual labour throughout the day
- Strong attention to safety procedures and regulations
- Willingness to learn new skills within scaffolding and general construction trades
- Previous experience in plumbing, welding, electrical work, or painting is beneficial but not essential
