Responsibilities
We are currently seeking a skilled and hands-on Environmental Monitoring Technician to play a crucial role in the installation, decommissioning, repair, and maintenance of noise, vibration, and air quality monitoring equipment on construction sites.
The ideal candidate will be a versatile individual who is comfortable working in a dynamic construction environment, possesses strong technical skills, and is adept at troubleshooting and maintaining specialised monitoring equipment.
Location:
Hammersmith, London with National Travel required.
Technical requirements:
· Install and set up noise, vibration, and air quality monitoring equipment at construction sites, ensuring accurate placement and functionality.
· Safely decommission monitoring equipment upon project completion or as needed.
· Conduct regular maintenance checks on monitoring equipment to ensure optimal performance.
· Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions promptly, minimising downtime and disruptions.
· Collaborate with site engineers to integrate monitoring equipment seamlessly into construction projects.
· Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges related to equipment integration.
· Good communication skills to develop relationships with site managers and site workers to create a more seamless workflow.
Qualifications:
· Previous experience as a technician, handyman or site engineer (comfortable on a construction site).
· Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
· Comfortable working in diverse construction settings and adapting to changing project requirements.
· Knowledge of safety protocols and guidelines specific to construction sites.
· Excellent communication skills to convey technical information clearly to team members.
· CSCS card (Preferable)
· Clean UK Driving License is essential
