Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Lorry Driver to join our busy farm operation in Buntingford for a 10-week seasonal role.
Duties
- Safely operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles to deliver goods to specified locations.
- Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules and optimise fuel consumption.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety regulations.
- Secure cargo properly on flatbeds to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during operations.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.
Qualifications
- Valid HGV/Lorry licence
- Good work ethic and reliability
- Farm or agricultural experience preferred but not essential
