Overview
We are looking for caring, reliable and responsible individuals to join our childminding team. We are seeking people to care for children aged from birth to 5 year olds. Providing attentive childcare for families in the local community. The ideal candidate will be passionate about child development, reliable, and able to create a safe, nurturing environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support children's growth and learning while working in a flexible, rewarding setting. Fluency in English is essential, and knowledge of urdu/punjabi is a desirable bonus.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children as needed
- Assist with educational activities, including teaching basic skills where applicable
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, adhering to safety protocols
- Organise playdates, outings, or activities to stimulate social interaction and physical activity
- Maintain a clean and organised environment, including tidying up toys and children's belongings
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's behaviour, progress, and any concerns
Qualifications
- Previous experience in childcare, nannying, or babysitting is preferred
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record is desirable
- Must be First Aid Trained with a valid certificate within the year
- Must have a current DBS in place prefably with ofsted
- Strong knowledge of child safety standards
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Must be confident using computer for inputting data
- Fluency in English; proficiency in urdu/punjabi
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable personality with a genuine love for working with children
- Ability to organise engaging educational activities that support child development goals
- Must have some knowledge of the Early Years Framework
Pay: £12.88-£13.00 per hour
