Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable self employed Gardener and waste manager to join our team, must be reliable!! The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and a strong background in various gardening practices. This role involves maintaining and enhancing the beauty of our landscapes, ensuring the health of plants, and contributing to the overall aesthetic appeal of our outdoor spaces. The Gardener will work both independently and as part of a team to execute gardening tasks efficiently.
Duties
- Perform regular maintenance of gardens, lawns, and landscapes, including mowing, trimming, and weeding.
- Remove general waste and garden waste and take to local tips.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for various gardening tasks.
- Implement irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and landscapes.
- Apply knowledge of horticulture to identify plant diseases and pests, implementing appropriate treatments.
- Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to design and install new garden features or enhancements.
- Maintain accurate records of plant care activities and monitor growth progress.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards while operating equipment and handling chemicals.
Requirements
- Reliable
- Proven experience in gardening or landscaping roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with horticulture principles and practices related to growing various types of plants.
- Experience in lawn care and landscape maintenance is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in work output.
