Registered Nurse – Bank Day and Night when you are available (Family-Run Nursing Home)
We are a small, family-run nursing home with an excellent reputation in the local community and recently awarded Excellent by CIW in all foru catergories. We are looking for a Registered Nurse to help cover annual leave and sickness on day and night shifts as and when you are available
Shift pattern -nights: 7:00pm – 7:00am
days: 7:00am - 1:00pm / 1:00pm -7pm / 7:00am -7:00pm
About the role
You will work as the nurse on duty alongside our established care team, delivering safe, person-centred care to our residents. This role suits someone who values a friendly, supportive environment and wants to make a real difference to older people and their families.
We have a long-standing, loyal staff team and are looking for a bank nurse who is motivated by high standards of care and best practice.

We understand how challenging nursing can be, especially at night, and we do everything we can to support our workforce.
Key duties (include but not limited to)
- Provide direct nursing care, including assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating individual care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and in line with policy
- Monitor, record and report residents’ vital signs and any changes in condition
- Maintain accurate, clear and timely documentation and medical records
- Lead and support the care team to ensure high standards of person-centred care
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, GPs and other healthcare professionals
- Promote a safe environment by following infection control, safeguarding and health and safety procedures
- Contribute to a calm, caring and homely atmosphere for residents and their families
About you
- Registered Nurse with an active NMC PIN
- Right to work in the UK (we are unable to offer sponsorship or relocation support)
- Kind, compassionate and committed to dignified care
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with residents, relatives and colleagues
- Able to prioritise and manage workload effectively, especially on nights
- Strong attention to detail in documentation and medication administration
- Positive, reliable team player who can also work confidently on their own
