Amber Lodge is a friendly 13-bed residential home supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and complex behaviours. Situated close to excellent transport links and the beautiful Suffolk coastline, we enjoy making the most of our local community and creating meaningful experiences for the people we support.
We're looking for caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Support Workers who enjoy having fun, building relationships, and making a genuine difference in people's lives.
About Amber Lodge
The people we support enjoy a wide range of activities, including:

We are looking for staff who are confident, kind, and patient, and who take the time to get to know each individual. A good understanding of autism and learning disabilities would be beneficial, but above all, we value people with the right attitude and a genuine desire to support others.
About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will be part of a welcoming and dedicated team providing person-centred support to adults with:
- Learning disabilities
- Autism
- Mental health needs
- Complex behaviours
Your role will focus on helping people live fulfilling, independent lives while supporting them to achieve their goals and enjoy the activities that matter most to them.
No previous experience is required – full training and ongoing support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting people with daily living activities
- Assisting with personal care and mobility where required
- Administering and monitoring medication
- Supporting individuals to access the local community
- Helping with shopping, meal preparation and household tasks
- Providing emotional support and companionship
- Encouraging participation in hobbies, activities and social events
- Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with colleagues
