About the Role
As a Sports Cover Supervisor, you will supervise PE and classroom-based lessons during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged and on task. You may also support extracurricular sports activities and promote positive behaviour throughout the school day.
Responsibilities
- Delivering pre-planned PE and classroom lessons
- Supervising students across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively
- Encouraging participation, teamwork, and engagement
- Supporting students in practical sports activities
- Ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Following school policies and safeguarding procedures
Requirements
- Experience coaching, mentoring, or working with young people
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Confident leading groups independently
- Flexible, proactive, and reliable approach
- Degree or relevant sports qualification desirable but not essential
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
