Plasterer – Ongoing Work | Social Housing | Oldham
Recruit is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and dedicated Plasterer to join their team working on a variety of renovation projects across Oldham and surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for long-term, stable work with a supportive and experienced team.
Position Details
- Job Title: Plasterer
- Location: Oldham and surrounding areas
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
- Pay Type: PAYE with accrued holiday pay
- Overtime: Available
- Duration: Ongoing work
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing surfaces for plastering by cleaning, repairing and applying bonding agents where required.
- Mixing plaster to the correct specifications and consistency.
- Applying plaster to walls and ceilings using hand and power tools to achieve a high-quality finish.
- Carrying out repairs to existing plasterwork, including patching and resurfacing damaged areas.
- Working closely with other trades, including carpenters and bricklayers, to ensure projects are completed efficiently.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment.
- Adhering to all site health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar construction role.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in plastering.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
- Good physical fitness and the ability to handle materials safely.
- Knowledge of masonry and bricklaying techniques would be advantageous.
- Own transport desirable due to travel between sites.
- Valid CSCS Card essential.
