Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Driver Class 1 to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe collection and transportation of liquid waste to our yard, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a strong focus on commercial driving and delivery operations. Must have experience with vacuum tankers.
Duties
- Operate HGV vehicles in compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness
- Safely load, secure, and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of goods during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with legal requirements
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding schedules, delays, or issues encountered during journeys
- Adhere strictly to driving hours regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Some overtime as and when required by the Company
- Expected hours - 45 hours per week
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record -
- Proven experience in commercial driving
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
- Ability to work independently and responsibly in a fast-paced environment

Pay: £41,500.00 per year
