Overview
Due to our expanding provision and growing numbers, we are looking for a passionate and caring Early Years Practitioner/Educator to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. Depending on experience, this role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development and well-being of young children.
Duties
- Provide high-quality childcare in a safe and engaging nursery environment.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster strong relationships.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents as necessary.
- Manage daily routines, ensuring that children are cared for and engaged throughout the day.
- Support children’s emotional and social development by encouraging positive behaviour.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery setting.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a cohesive team atmosphere.
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare where appropriate.
- Experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, particularly in English.
- Ability to work using own initiative and manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
- A genuine passion for nurturing children's development through play-based learning.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
