VANRATH are pleased to be partnering with a well-established and respected organisation operating within the retail and wholesale food industry to recruit a Field Operations Support (Fresh Food) professional for a permanent opportunity across Northern Ireland.
This is an engaging field-based role suited to someone with a passion for fresh food operations, customer service excellence, and supporting commercial success across multiple locations. The successful candidate will work closely with store teams and retail partners to help maintain high operational standards, improve performance, and support the delivery of fresh food initiatives.
This opportunity offers broad exposure across a network of sites, with the chance to contribute to operational projects, support growth initiatives, and play a key role in enhancing the customer offering.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational support for fresh food programmes and initiatives across a portfolio of retail locations
- Work alongside store teams and retail partners to help optimise sales opportunities and improve category performance
- Assist with the implementation of promotional activity, seasonal plans, and wider operational initiatives
- Carry out regular site visits to assess standards, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement
- Offer practical guidance and support to in-store teams around procedures and best-practice approaches
- Assist with introducing new product ranges, operational processes, and category developments
- Support activities relating to new store openings, refurbishments, and operational transitions
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and contribute to improved engagement across sites
The Ideal Candidate
- Full UK driving licence essential
- Minimum of 3 years' experience within a fresh food or food retail environment
- Previous exposure to convenience retail, wholesale, hospitality, or a similar fast-moving sector would be advantageous
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
- Experience supporting, coaching, or guiding teams in operational processes and standards
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships
- Self-driven with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a field-based schedule effectively
