Role Summary
As an Intelligence Officer in the Human Intelligence Bureau (HIB) you will be part of a team engaged in delivering HUMINT derived intelligence to tasked activity stakeholders internally and externally to aid operational delivery. You will gain a detailed knowledge of the various operational arms of HUMINT and develop intelligence to aid key decisions concerning Covert Human Intelligence Source (CHIS) recruitment.

Role Description
The Human Intelligence Bureau (HIB) disseminates appropriately sanitised intelligence to internal and external partners to support operational delivery. It facilitates access to HUMINT material within NCA Intelligence teams and conducts research on behalf of CHIS Operations, Assisting Offender Team (AOT) , Source Development Unit (SDU) and the Specialist Operations to add value to intelligence. As all intelligence from the HUMINT department is disseminated through the HIB, the HIB plays a key role in the initiation, development and ongoing success of HUMINT operations.
In addition, the HIB plays a pivotal role in the process for recruitment, continuation and cessation of any covert relationship with a CHIS, by developing intelligence to corroborate, identify crossovers, intelligence gaps and recommendations for the operational officers to explore.
