Translift Freight, part of the Plasmor Group of Companies are seeking a HGV class 2 driver based in Knottingley.
Translift Freight operate a modern fleet of crane-off-load vehicles delivering goods to builders merchants and house builders throughout the UK, we also have tipper fleet delivering hundreds of thousands of tonnes of aggregates per annum into Plasmor manufacturing plants around the country.
A new Class 2 driving opportunity has become available at our Knottingley Depot
Working hours are 06:00am to 5pm Monday to Friday. No weekend working or nights out
The responsibilities of the role
·To transport goods from our quarry in Esrick to Great Heck manufacturing site
·Daily vehicles walk round checks and accurate defect reporting
·Planning your route on a daily basis
·Keeping the despatch office up to date on delivery times
·Comply with on-site health and safety requirements
A degree of physical activity is intrinsic within this role, including manual handling of
wooden pallets, manual tensioning of ratchet straps and occasional handling of
precast concrete building blocks, negotiating vertical ladders/steps to access the
cab/on-vehicle crane, where appropriate accessing the airlines/suzies for connection
to trailers, accessing the body of tipper vehicles and working outside in prevailing
seasonal weather conditions. There is also a requirement to wear items of personal
protective equipment/clothing as necessary for tasks carried out
You will need
·A valid LGV (C ) UK Driving Licence
·A valid UK Driver CPC Card
·A valid UK Digital Tachograph Card
·A Proven track record of driving vehicles in a safe and legal manner ensuring compliance with all legal requirements
·A detailed understanding of driver’s hours and WTD legislation
