Due to continued growth and the opening of our brand-new office in Great Harwood, Stones Young Sales & Lettings are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Trainee/Apprentice Lettings Negotiator to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in the property industry. No previous estate agency experience is required – we are looking for the right attitude, strong communication skills and a willingness to learn. Full training and support will be provided, alongside the opportunity to gain a recognised qualification through an apprenticeship programme.
The Role
As a Trainee Lettings Negotiator, you will play an important role in helping tenants find their next home while supporting landlords throughout the lettings process. Working alongside experienced property professionals, you will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of residential lettings.
Key Responsibilities
- Registering and qualifying prospective tenants.
- Arranging and conducting property viewings.
- Matching applicants with suitable rental properties.
- Responding to telephone, email and online enquiries.
- Assisting with tenancy applications and referencing.
- Building strong relationships with landlords and tenants.
- Updating property details and maintaining accurate records.
- Supporting the lettings team with day-to-day administration.
- Learning and understanding current lettings legislation and industry best practices.
What We're Looking For
- A positive, motivated and professional attitude.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confidence speaking with customers both face-to-face and over the phone.
- A willingness to learn and develop a career in property.
- Good IT and administrative skills.
- GCSEs in English and Maths
- Full UK driving licence and own car
