General Construction Labourer
Assisted with the conversion of a commercial/residential building into ten apartment units. Duties included general labouring tasks such as lifting and moving construction materials, cutting and preparing materials, assisting with the construction and installation of apartment units, supporting tradespeople with plumbing and pipe installation, site preparation and cleanup, loading and unloading deliveries, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. Performed a variety of manual tasks as required to support the overall construction and renovation project
Duties
- Assisting with the installation and repair of plumbing, electrical systems, and masonry work.
- Operating hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to support construction activities.
- Performing general labour tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials on-site.
- Supporting carpentry, plastering, and construction painting tasks as required.
- Reading and interpreting schematics to aid in precise execution of tasks.
- Assisting with site preparation, clean-up, and organisation of materials and tools.
- Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Experience
- Previous experience in construction or related trades such as roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, masonry or carpentry is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic fabrication techniques is desirable.
- Experience reading schematics or technical drawings will be considered a plus.
- Candidates with a background in construction painting or plastering are encouraged to apply.

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
