Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced DBS Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service delivery
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Oversee food safety procedures, hygiene standards, and cleanliness within the kitchen environment
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control waste to optimise operational efficiency
- Develop new menu ideas in collaboration with management to enhance customer satisfaction
- Train and mentor junior staff to improve their culinary skills and professional development
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods
- Monitor food quality at all stages of preparation and presentation to meet brand standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
- Demonstrable supervising experience with team management responsibilities
- Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
- Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and management
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- A passion for culinary arts combined with creativity and innovation in menu development
