Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Freelance Dance Teacher to join our successful dance studio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance, excellent communication skills, and a dedication to inspiring students of all ages and abilities. Potential for two openings part time depending on the suitable candidates.
The Dance teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and promoting our studio’s community spirit.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality dance classes tailored to various skill levels and age groups
- Create a welcoming and motivating atmosphere that encourages student participation and confidence
- Assess individual student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development
- Prepare class materials, routines, and choreography as needed for different dance styles
- Ensure the safety of all participants by maintaining a safe studio environment and adhering to health guidelines
- Collaborate with colleagues to organise performances and community outreach activities
- Maintain professional standards in appearance, behaviour, and communication at all times
Experience
- Minimum 2 years experience teaching dance in a professional setting or recognised dance school
- Choreograpy and teaching any or all of the following styles, Contemporary and Street. And/or Ballet, Tap, Modern - preferably RAD/ISTD but not essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students of all ages
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in dance preferred but not essential for highly motivated candidates with substantial experience depending on genre.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and needs
