Production Manager
Our client a successful engineering company are currently recruiting for a Production Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will have proven experience within engineering and manufacturing and experience in managing a team.

The Role
· Plan manufacturing and dispatch of product to ensure customer requirements are met
· Resolve problems within the production workshop
· Ensure any quality issues are resolved and implement changes to procedures if required
· Work with the production team to plan and execute continuous improvement activities
· Advise Senior Management of resource requirements
· Appraise the team’s performance and provide support to them to ensure targets are being met
· Monitor production cost and spend to ensure budgets are not exceeded
· Responsible for leading and managing the production team
· Promote high standards for quality of work
· Ensure safe working practises are followed and working with the Health and Safety team to implement changes and procedures when required
· Any other duties, within reason and capability, as agreed with the Senior Managers
Essential Criteria
· Excellent knowledge within engineering and manufacturing
· At least 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role within manufacturing engineering
· Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
· A highly motivated attitude
· Excellent problem-solving skills
· Good organisation and planning skills
· Excellent communication skills
· Ability to prioritise, plan and allocate workload
