PEMEC is a growing engineering company, and we are looking for a highly organised and proactive Resource Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys coordinating people, workloads, and project requirements to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and successfully.
As Resource Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the operational and project teams by ensuring the right personnel are allocated to the right projects at the right time. You will work closely with project managers, site teams, and leadership to manage labour allocation, monitor project demands, and maintain effective communication across the business.
This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to confidently manage multiple priorities within a busy engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and coordinating labour and resource allocation across multiple projects
- Monitoring resource capacity, utilisation, and upcoming project demands
- Working closely with project managers and senior management to forecast future resource requirements
- Managing schedules and resolving resource or staffing conflicts efficiently
- Maintaining accurate records and resource planning documentation
- Liaising with engineers, site teams, subcontractors, and clients when required
- Supporting the smooth delivery of projects through effective coordination and communication
- Identifying opportunities to improve resource planning processes and efficiency
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Previous experience in resource planning, project coordination, scheduling, or a similar role
- An engineering or construction background would be preferred
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- The ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- A proactive and adaptable approach to work
- Good IT skills and confidence using planning systems and Microsoft Office
- Experience within M&E services would be advantageous
